DELHI REGION

 

The Delhi Region is responsible for works falling in the NCT of Delhi in all areas other than those covered by the New Delhi Region. In terms of the numbers of units of houses and buildings being maintained it tops the list of Regions in CPWD. All Central Government Colonies falling in South Delhi are maintained by the zones under this Region.

 

Office complexes in South Delhi such as CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, East Blocks and West Blocks in R.K. Puram, Pushpa Bhawan, Akbar Bhawan etc. are also maintained by the Region.

 

The Region is also responsible for carrying out construction projects in its jurisdiction. The region has recently completed the project for Vocational Rehabilitation Centre at Kar-kar Dooma which has been acclaimed as one of the best building incorporating all measures for the disabled.

 

Some of the important projects being executed by the Region are:

 

v      Construction of new building for UPSC, Shahjahan Road

 

v      Construction of New Wing for the National Gallery of Modern Art, Jaipur House

 

v      Construction of various buildings for the IIT, Delhi

 

v      Construction of buildings for the Central Water Commission

 

v      Construction of building for Income Tax department at Shadara
