Standards and Specifications Unit

The Standards & Specification cell under CSQ is responsible for drafting the schedules, specifications, issue of cost indices etc. It is headed by a Superintending Engineer.

Broad areas of operation are:

· Preparation of new specifications, updation & revision, issue of correction slips, issuance of clarifications etc. Presently CPWD Specifications 1996 are being followed.

· Preparation and revision of DSR.

· Preparation and revision of DAR. Issuance of clarifications and correction slips.

· Preparation of Plinth Area Rates and correspondence thereof.

· Release of 10CC coefficients.

· Preparation of yearly Cost Index for Delhi .

· Preparation of Maintenance Cost Indices Yearly.

· Interaction with BIS, BMPTC, CSMRS etc to keep abreast with the latest developments in the field of building materials and construction technique to keep on updating its own specification and standard etc.

· Publication of DAR, DSR and specifications and its internal distribution and sales to other departments through out the year.

· Work Load Norms determination for civil and electrical divisions.

· Compilation of yearly cost indices issued by zonal Chief Engineers and publishing the same.
