Due to the Covid-19 pandemic Lockdown, multifarious activities were undertaken for mitigating the hardship of workers at CPWD IIT Gandhinagar Project Site. Dr. Sudhir Kumar Jain, Director, IIT Gandhinagar took the personal and keen interest for welfare of the workers and monitored the welfare activities.

To prevent the spread of Covid-19, reusable masks made by CPWD Officers’ Wives Association were distributed to the workers by Shri Rajeev Singhal , CE & ED, New Delhi Project Zone at Govt. of India Press Site, Minto Road, New Delhi on April 27, 2020. CPWD OWA also donated Rs. 5 lakhs to PM CARES Fund to support Covid-19 relief efforts by the Goverment.
