CPWD has decided to focus on adoption of new emerging technologies for cost effective and speedy construction in a way that is environment friendly and which results in sustainable and disaster resilient structures. The construction technology year shall be marked by holding Seminars, Exhibitions, visits to the sites where new construction technologies are being used an by enhanced interaction with other engineering professionals.

Agenda of the seminar was on the use of innovative technologies and materials in construction. In the construction and infrastructure sector, use of innovative technologies and materials has become most important to increase the productivity and efficiency at worksites. In the present day context, it has become essential to adopt these innovative technologies and materials in construction for faster, ecofriendly and quality construction. In this regard, CPWD has already approved sixteen new and emerging technologies for use in its construction. This seminar has thus provided a platform for sharing knowledge and experiential learning in this field and provided an opportunity to the participants to deliberate on the various aspects of use of innovative technologies and materials in construction sector.
